I am writing this information today, March 7, 1967 from memory – William Rhodes
This picture must have been taken in late fall of 1901 or spring of 1902 because the lady on the bottom (2nd row) left is my mother Rose and I am the baby on her lap. The man sitting directly in back of her wearing a bow tie is my father Max. Mother is 26 years of age whereas my father is 30 years of age. I am perhaps 4 months or 8 months of age. I was born on June 27, 1901.
P.S. my mother died July 3, 1907 – age 32 and my father died March 9, 1948 – age 77.
The lady and man on the same row as my mother is her brother Max Tuck, his wife Aunt Jennie (she died in 1910, he in 1940). The lady in back of my Uncle Max wearing a wig and white front piece, sitting on the same row as my father is my grandmother (mother’s mother). She died spring 1917, age 89.
I believe this picture was taken in Chelsea, Mass at the home of a collateral relative Israel & Gussie Stearn [spelling not clear]. They lived on Bloomingdale St. if my memory serves me. Gussie is upper left (his arms are folded) [he probably meant upper right]. The man directly back of my father is my mother’s brother Uncle Israel Tuck, his wife Aunt Bessie is on front row right. The plump lady is my grandmother’s brother’s wife. Her name was Aunt Guttie Berlin. Her husband does not appear here. He died at 91 in 1905 or 1905. Aunt Bessie died in 1947, Uncle Israel was 96 in 1966 and calling on my stepmother, God bless them both.
